The 2nd imbX Ministerial Forum on ICT

Following the successful 2005 inaugural Ministerial Forum, the second Ministerial Forum (by invitation only) will take place from 19-20 June 2006 as part of imbX. Themed “Next Generation Networks (NGN) – Opportunities & Challenges for Governments”, discussions will centre around NGN’s definition and impact, multiple government's roles, and regulatory challenges.
APT Forums
21-23 June 2006
Asia Pacific Telecommunity will hold three meetings in Singapore as part of their 2006 work programme. A Regulator-Industry Dialogue will provide a platform for the candid exchange of views on how to create a conducive regulatory environment in the region. APT members will be able to interact with potential investors at an Investment Dialogue. An Operators’ Forum will discuss issues of broadband and mobility, business competition strategies and policies in the current market situation, and business opportunities in the ICT sector.
