Intelsat is providing space segment capacity on its IS-907 satellite
at 332.5º E which Arqiva will use as part of its distribution solution
to around 90 main terrestrial transmitter sites in the United Kingdom...
Another success story
On
April 4–5 the 12th annual conference of operators and users of the
Russian Federation satellite telecommunications network took place
in Dubna. This forum was arranged by the state operator of satellite
communications – the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC).
The conference is held annually near Moscow in the town of Dubna
where the Dubna Satellite Communications Center (RSCC’ branch) -
the largest teleport in Russia and eastern Europe - is situated...

GlobeCast uses Intelsat capacity to transmit
Cricket World Cup 2007 to global viewers
Intelsat
has announced that GlobeCast, a global content management and broadcast
distribution company, selected Intelsat’s IS-9 and IS-904 satellites
for contribution and distribution of the Cricket World Cup 2007,
including all 51 matches. GlobeCast selected Intelsat’s satellites
for their superior coverage of the Atlantic and Indian Ocean regions.
In all, more than 600 hours of Cricket matches will be delivered...
ABS and Batelco team up
Asia Broadcast
Satellite (ABS) and Batelco announced that they have entered into
an agreement for capacity on the Southern Ku-band beam of the ABS-1
satellite at the 75E orbital location for VSAT services in the Middle
East and Asia Pacific. ABS will also support Batelco further by
providing a complete, triple redundancy, backup service using its
own VSAT support center from its facilities located in Hong Kong,
ABS’s Headquarters...
