NOORSAT, the largest private satellite service provider in the Arab World, is taking part in CABSAT 2017, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 21-23 March. As the pivotal professional broadcast, satellite and digital media event in the Arab World, CABSAT is exciting and interactive. NOORSAT has amassed over a decade of business achievements and has grown to become a premier satellite service provider serving large, medium, government and private enterprises across the Arab World. The Company has achieved an impressive rate of growth since its establishment as a small operation in Bahrain and has grown alongside the demand for satellite services across the region.
Today, NOORSAT carries over 350 TV and radio channels from the 7/8°West and 25.5°-26.0° East orbital positions; the only two hotspots that serve the Arab World, through Badr Al Nile® (NOORSAT 7 and NOORSAT 7B satellites) and Badr Al Arab® (NOORSAT 1 satellite). NOORSAT also offers capacities for data and telecom services, enabling service providers to offer broadband access, data applications, VoIP, GSM backhauling, IPTV streaming and VSAT services for private and governmental networks. This is all reinforced by an elite customer service team with extensive experience, providing expert advice, guidance and technical support.
At CABSAT this year, the NOORSAT team will be continuing with its aim to convert interested channels to HD format. Though 80 percent of viewers are already equipped to receive HD, the region is lagging behind the rest of the world. Of the 1,500 channels broadcasting in the region, less than 3 percent are doing so in HD with many broadcasters deterred by the cost of investing in more capacity. NOORSAT can enable a seamless and cost-effective transition to HD without the need to invest large amounts of extra capacity.
