Northrop Grumman’s Park Air Systems achieves Gold Standard Investors in People Award

Northrop Grumman Corporation’s U.K.-based air traffic management subsidiary, Park Air Systems, has

achieved Gold Standard accreditation by Investors in People (IiP) for the third time since 2010. This award puts Park Air Systems among the top 14 percent of accredited businesses in the U.K. whose people management standards and policies are exemplary.

IiP encourages and certifies best practices in people management and staff training with a rigorous assessment of an organisation’s performance. It is an internationally recognized standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the standard is the IiP framework of continuous improvement, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.

IiP assessors interviewed the Park Air Systems management team and employees, and produced a comprehensive report identifying the company’s strengths, and opportunities for improvement. IiP praised the company for its clear vision, social responsibility, fair and effective recruitment, and reward and recognition programme. The work-life balance that the company provides to its staff was particularly singled out.
