Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES) today announced that it has been certified by its independent auditor as conforming to the newest ISO 9001:2015 quality management system standards. This recognition confirms the company's ongoing commitment to quality management principles, continuous improvement, and strong customer focus in the design, manufacture, delivery and support of telecommunication services and products for its consumer, business and government customers.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the role of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement. The standard provides guidance and tools for companies and organizations that want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customers' requirements, and that quality is continually improved.
Hughes certification includes its Germantown MD headquarters, business units, engineering, software development and other staff functions, as well as its Network Operations Center and manufacturing facilities. Hughes and its facilities have been ISO certified since 1992.
