Gateway Teleport Ltd has added a new product to its New Zealand services offering.
There has been increased interest in Rapid Response Communications due to recent Earthquakes and Storm events in New Zealand and Gateway Teleport has developed a new 4WD product to meet this demand.
Gateway Teleport has designed a complete communications package based on a standard 4WD chassis and the C-Com 981 Ku-Band Antenna system. The 4WD system is completely self-contained with onboard 12-volt power system that operates for up to 2 hours and will auto-switch to mains power when provided with mains supply. A 2Kw Honda generator is also onboard if required. The whole power system is backed up by a 2KVA UPS system with approximately 15 minutes of operation at full load.
The communications package consists of a Gilat Accent Satllite Modem operating with a 4/2Mbps service on the Gateway Teleport Gilat SkyEdge 2 Satellite Hub accessing the Optus D2 satellite. The Modem is connected to an onboard Vodafone Alcatel Metro 9364 3G Femto Cell Site (Up to 32 Users) with approximately 1Km coverage and a high-power localised WiFi system. The system can auto-acquire the satellite and be operational within 5 minutes of set up.
This product has been designed to be adaptable to various 4WD vehicles and is easily customisable to other platforms such as trailer mounting. It is available immediately and demonstrations of the system can be arranged by contacting Gateway Teleport.
