Esterline Corporation, a leading specialty manufacturing and service enterprise serving aerospace and defense markets, today announced that its Platteville-based AVISTA operation has been awarded Platinum Premier status in the Rockwell Collins Trusted Supplier Program (TSP). The Platinum Premier award is the highest performance honor for a Rockwell Collins supplier and recognizes the team’s efforts in providing best-in-class engineering solutions to Rockwell Collins for the last 30 years.
Introduced in 2013, the Trusted Supplier Program is designed to foster collaboration with Rockwell Collins suppliers to improve efficiencies and drive performance. It provides a formal framework for quantitative performance measures, including delivery and quality, along with assessments of total cost of ownership, technology and customer support. AVISTA received top scores in each of the three criteria attributes. Additionally, the program recognizes their achievements and celebrates collective success.
“AVISTA and Rockwell Collins have enjoyed a successful relationship since 1987,” said Steve Ungs, Vice President and General Manager of AVISTA. “We take a great deal of pride in providing quality services, so this recognition of our team’s efforts to continually improve how we do business is a great honor and sets a fresh benchmark for attaining future goals.”
The Platinum Premier designation positions AVISTA for additional business opportunities within Rockwell Collins customer programs and could provide direct access to Rockwell Collins Engineering teams to help influence design and development decisions for continued, results-driven success.
Rockwell Collins has a supply base of more than 2,500 direct and indirect suppliers, 730 of which participate in the Trusted Supplier Program.
