Telesat closes offices globally as cautionary measure due to COVID-19 pandemic

Telesat has announced it has enacted its work from home policy in its offices globally effective March 16, 2020 in an effort to keep office workers safe and facilitate social distancing amidst the increase of COVID-19.

Telesat provides critical satellite communications infrastructure to its customers and as such, has comprehensive business continuity plans to ensure continued operations of its satellites, network and teleport infrastructure.

“The continued safety and well-being of our employees is our top priority,” stated Dan Goldberg, CEO of Telesat. “We have invested in the right tools and business continuity planning and, as a result, can maintain the critical infrastructure and services that our customers rely while our work from home policy is in effect.”
