Alexey Volin has been appointed Director General of Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC). The appropriate order of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation No.353-k was signed on 23 June 2021. From 28 June 2021, Alexey Volin has entered upon his duties.
Among the main tasks of Alexey Volin at RSCC are strengthening and modernization of the existing satellite constellation, maintaining RSCC market position in an increasingly competitive environment, providing communication services for remote regions of the far North, participating in international cooperation and, above all, in the work of the International Organization for Space Communications (IOSC) Intersputnik.
From July 2012 to October 2020, Alexey Volin served as Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. Не was responsible for the digitalization of Russian television and shutdown of analog broadcasting.
