CEOs from OneWeb and Telesat to keynote at the SATELLITE 2021: LEO Digital Forum

The SATELLITE Conference announces the two keynote speakers, Neil Masterson, CEO, OneWeb, and Dan Goldberg, CEO, Telesat, to speak at its upcoming LEO Digital Forum, the first major satellite event of the year taking place April 6-8 on a digital event platform.

Telesat set the industry abuzz by announcing an investment of billions of dollars in its LightSpeed LEO constellation, one of the most ambitious projects seen in the industry recently. The initial 298 satellite constellation is a major statement of intent. In his keynote presentation on Tuesday, April 6, Dan Goldberg, Telesat’s CEO, will discuss LightSpeed and why he thinks the system is destined to propel Telesat towards an exciting future.

The rise, fall, and rise again of OneWeb was one of the biggest stories in satellite last year. The company, now owned by the UK Government and Bharti Global, is looking forward to a new chapter after a headline-making and somewhat turbulent 2020. Neil Masterson, who was appointed OneWeb's CEO in November 2020, will open the LEO Digital Forum on Wednesday, April 7 with his keynote presentation, Neil’s first public speaking engagement at a major satellite event.

"The LEO Digital Forum is the digital satellite event to attend in the first half of 2021,” said Mark Holmes, Satellite Group Content Director. “In addition to the CEOs from OneWeb and Telesat, the speaker line-up features CEOs from SES, Eutelsat, Hughes and Iridium, plus end user customers Air Canada, Maersk, and OmniAccess. This program will set the stage for conversations to continue at the in-person SATELLITE Conference in July."
