Slated for the second half of 2021, the first edition will be a hybrid event bringing together Government, businesses in the infocomm, media and tech ecosystem, start-ups, enterprise communities and global titans of tech. The partnership, which will feature a series of events and activities, will celebrate innovation; talent and set the agenda on digital transformation; diversity and governance in the tech sector.

By combining Informa Tech's international reach, networks and world-class events infrastructure alongside IMDA and STB's leadership and market expertise, the event will provide a leading platform for the international tech and enterprise communities to congregate in Asia. The event will also showcase Singapore as an unparalleled gateway to Asia - the world’s fastest growing digital economy.

ConnectTechAsia – Informa Tech’s B2B platform for infocomm, media and technology, will provide a global marketplace for the discovery of new innovations and enterprise solutions to drive growth and digitisation of businesses and cities in Asia.

The event will also celebrate the region's innovators, bring diversity within tech in Asia to the forefront, and shine a light on the power of tech for sustainable growth and as an answer to some of the world's toughest challenges.

Among other exciting activities, Elevating Founders Asia and AccelerateHER Asia will highlight promising seed and series A start-ups to investors and the enterprise marketplace, and spotlight women in tech, respectively.

“This flagship tech event provides government and policy makers, business and tech leaders an excellent platform to exchange dialogue, discuss technology trends, opportunities and challenges to bring about increased collaborations and mutual benefits for the region and internationally. Singapore is well-positioned to host such an event as Asia continues to grow in technological influence and has seen the rise of many indigenous digital players, including Grab, SEA Group and Gojek, fuelled by a burgeoning tech-savvy user base and a thriving digital ecosystem,” said Mr Howie Lau, Assistant Chief Executive, Media & Innovation Group, Infocomm Media Development Authority.

"With more than 100 specialist brands across events, research, media and training, Informa Tech is focused on inspiring tech communities to design, build and run a better digital world. We are thrilled to partner with IMDA and STB to co-create an event that will provide the platform for innovators across Asia, and Singapore as the region's tech hub, to shine among the international tech community," said Ms Carolyn Dawson, Managing Director, Informa Tech.

“As the Global-Asia node for business, we are reimagining Singapore as a preferred destination for safe, trusted and innovative MICE events. That is why we look forward to working with IMDA and Informa Tech to make this event a success, and to strengthen our reputation as a centre for knowledge, innovation and economic exchange in the Asia Pacific,” said Mr Yap Chin Siang, Deputy Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board.
