Rt Hon Lord Willetts, former UK Minister for Science and Universities, has agreed to join Skyrora in the role of Senior Consultant.
Volodymr Levykin, CEO Skyrora said:" I'm delighted that Lord Willetts has accepted our offer to join Skyrora in this capacity. During his time as Science Minister he was involved in forming the strategy of the newly set up UK Space Agency, fostering the development of the UK space industry at an international level and had close links to ESA. He knows about the importance of satellites for communications and their data for almost every industry in the UK, and with that the requirement for more launches. It will be of immense value to have him on board and support Skyrora's aim to become the premier space launch provider in the UK, with the first launch of our orbital rocket, the Skyrora XL, scheduled for 2023."
