NSSLGlobal expands global engineering capability with NAV/COM department from Pro Nautas BV

NSSLGlobal, the award-winning satcom and IT solutions provider, announces a major boost to its global engineering capabilities with the recruitment of an established team of ten sales, project, connectivity and service NAV/COM engineers, from troubled Pro Nautas BV. NSSLGlobal is strengthening its engineering base and position in Germany as well as expanding into Holland offering an ever-increasing scope of Communication, IT and Navigation services to both existing and new maritime customers.

By ramping up its NAV/COM Bridge Electronic capabilities with GMDSS, VDR /S-VDR (Voyage Data Recorder), Radar, Gyro, Speed Log expertise across the NSSLGlobal Group, the company is reinforcing its specialist engineering credentials supporting and coordinating fully managed electronic navigational, VSAT and radio communications equipment and services for customers.

The market and customers will immediately benefit with the launch today of NSSLGlobal’s new SMART Maintenance Plans a flexible range of tiered global navigation and bridge electronic maintenance plans aimed at the Commercial Maritime shipping sector globally.

This is a major coup for NSSLGlobal, hiring the key engineering team from Pro Nautas in one fell swoop is enabling it to make a forceful entry into the Commercial Maritime Shipping market with its NAV/COM SMART Maintenance Plans with an established, experienced and respected team. By widening its engineering capabilities with the NAV/COM team alongside NSSLGlobal’s existing engineering teams across Singapore, US, UK, Norway, Denmark and Germany, NSSLGlobal will further strengthen its position across the maritime sector.

NSSLGlobal remains bullish about the future, despite the temporary downturn in the global maritime service market due to COVID-19. Unlike its competition NSSLGlobal remains a secure and financially stable communications company.

Paul Rutherford, Group Service Engineering Director, NSSLGlobal, comments: “This is an exciting period for NSSLGlobal as the acquisition of an experienced and well-respected team of highly specialised engineers allows us to deliver an enhanced and robust portfolio of products and services, meaning our customers get greater choice from a trusted, reliable provider.”

Sally-Anne Ray, Group CEO, NSSLGlobal, says: “This is a hard time for the maritime communication sector. Our strategy has always been to focus on our key customers and our core mobility markets. We only hire the best talent and when we saw that the engineers at Pro Nautas were facing an uncertain future there was a compelling argument to integrate their skillset into our maritime service offering in order to enhance our offering to our customers. Their expertise and professionalism will complement our existing marine engineering capabilities. Our customers remain our focus and we are passionate about delivering the highest quality of service and commitment now and in the future.”
