Azercosmos is the only satellite operator in Caucasus established on May 3rd 2010 and fully owned by the government of Azerbaijan Republic. Having launched the Azerspace-1, the first-ever satellite of Azerbaijan, on February 8th 2013, the company provides highly reliable, satellite-based communication services to enterprise and government customers for DTH, voice, video, data and mobility applications.

With the advanced design and flexible switching capabilities of the Azerspace-1 telecommunication satellite, millions of viewers are able to get an access to information and communications services worldwide. Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited (BCSCL) is a state owned satellite operating company of Bangladesh. The company is performing hard to be the leading satellite operator at home and abroad. Currently the company is operating Bangabandhu Satellite-1 (BS-1), named after the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. BS-1, manufactured by Thales Alenia Space, is a modern geostationary communication satellite and located at 119. 1° East longitude. It has strong Ku beams on Bangladesh, Indonesia, The Philippines, and on South-East Asian countries. It also serves planned/ INSAT C band on earlier mentioned countries and in addition, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan & Kazakhstan. The upcoming family members of BS-1 will have global beam. High Throughput Satellite (HTS) is also in the pipeline of the planning. BCSCL provides satellite telecommunication services like DTH, VSAT, Video Distribution, Broadband, Communication Trunks etc. BCSCL has Primary Ground Station at Gazipur, Bangladesh, and Secondary Ground Station at Betbunia, Rangamati, Bangladesh. Bangabandhu Satellite -1 (BS-1) is the first geostationary satellite of the country having strong footprint in Bangladesh, Indonesia, The Philippines, South-East Asian countries, and Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan & Kazakhstan.

B-SAT currently owns and manages a fleet of 5 satellites.

Embratel Star One, a wholly-owned subsidiary from Claro, is the largest satellite company in Brazil and Latin America and operates five GEO satellites (Star One C1, C2, C3, C4 and D1), and one in inclined orbit (Brasilsat B4).

Firstly designated as Star one, the company was created in December of 2000. Then, it was renamed to Embratel Star One in 2014. To meet new infrastructure demands in Brazil, along with the requirements of major sporting events, such as the Olympics, the company launched two new satellites: Star One C4, in July 2015 and Star One D1, in December 2016.

To operate the fleet, Embratel Star One has one of the best and largest satellite operations center in Latin America, located in Guaratiba, Rio de Janeiro. From there, the company controls, monitors and manages its satellite fleet, with a highly skilled team of engineers and technicians.

Es’hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, is a communications satellite operator headquartered in Doha, Qatar. Es’hailSat was established in 2010 with the goal of managing and developing Qatar’s presence in space. The company provides independent, high-quality, advanced satellite services to broadcasters, businesses and governments in the MENA region and beyond.

With the aim to be a truly global satellite operator and services provider, Es’hailSat started the operation of its first satellite Es’hail-1 at 25.5° East in 2013 supporting key broadcasters in the region, beIN SPORTS and Al Jazeera Media Network. Es’hail-2, the company’s second satellite was launched on November 15, 2018 and entered in commercial service early 2019 at the 26° East orbital position.

Having both Ku-band and Ka-band capacity at 25.5° East and 26° East hotspot positions enable Es’hailSat to provide the region with the most advanced and sophisticated services including broadcast, telecommunications and broadband.

Es’hailSat’s expansion plan will continue with more new satellites in prime hotspot locations, offering our customers the most flexible and reliable service.
